The Advisory Council for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences serves as an outside advisory group to the Dean of the college. Members shall provide counsel and advice concerning programs in teaching, research and extension for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The council will represent the variety of constituencies and stakeholders with whom the college, through its programs, should interact. Those constituencies and stakeholders include current and future students, alumni, the state of New York, the agricultural community in New York State, lawmakers, other educational institutions and the broader interests of scholarship and research serving the state of New York, the nation and the world.

The Advisory Council shall provide avenues by which advice and expertise can be brought to bear on strategic issues the college faces, and serve as a two-way communication channel providing advice and counsel on those issues which the Dean brings to the council, and bringing issues and concerns

The Arts and Sciences Advisory Council is one of the eight original advisory bodies established by the Cornell Board of Trustees in 1962 with the original charge to advise and counsel the dean on broad matters of policy and planning within the college. The Council is made up of alumni leaders, parents, and friends. Members currently have four main roles: as advisors, advocates, ambassadors, and philanthropic supporters of the college and its mission: to provide a foundation in the liberal arts for all Cornell students and, within the College, to foster the intellectual curiosity that drives outstanding research, scholarship, and teaching in the liberal arts.

The Dean's Advisory Council (DAC) for the College of Human Ecology at Cornell serves as an outside advisory group to the dean of the college. The principal purpose of the Advisory Council is to support the College through advice and advocacy.

Members shall provide counsel and advice concerning programs in teaching, research and extension for the College of Human Ecology. The council will represent the variety of constituencies and stakeholders with whom the college, through its programs, should interact. Those constituencies and stakeholders include current and future students, alumni, parents of students, lawmakers, other educational institutions and the broader interests of scholarship and research serving the state of New York, the nation and the world. As informed insiders, members of the counsel serve as ambassadors to inform, inspire and involve stakeholders in pursuit of the College's vision, programmatic and philanthropic goals.

The Advisory Council provides input on strategic issues the college faces, and functions as a two-way communication channel offering counsel on those topics that the Dean offers up to the group, and bringing concerns from stakeholders to the attention of the Dean. The group's input helps to inform the Dean and associate deans as they make decisions regarding the administrative affairs of the college. The Advisory Council serves as a resource for the various departmental and programmatic advisory groups throughout the College as well.

Today, veterinary medicine is poised to help the world respond to some of its most pressing challenges. The college's vision is to lead, enable, and inspire others to attain a healthier world for animals and people. We are dedicated to the creation, dissemination, and implementation of scientific knowledge to improve the health and well-being of animals and people. As a New York land-grant college, we achieve regional and global impact through education, discovery and care.

Purpose and Values
The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Advisory Council serves as an advisory group to the Dean of the College to help fulfill and implement the college's mission and strategic objectives while striving to provide members with gratifying opportunities to engage with and impact the college, and by extension, Cornell University as a whole. The council shares the college's values of commitment to veterinary medicine and education, equity and diversity, collaboration and two-way communication, innovation, intellectual curiosity, and an expectation of excellence.

At-large Membership
At-large members are alumni and friends who offer professional expertise and meaningful guidance, leverage personal and/or professional networks, and commit to supporting the college philanthropically at a level commensurate with each members' means. At-large members may serve up to three, two- year terms, for a maximum of six consecutive years. Members serving the maximum number of terms will become eligible for reappointment to the council following a one-year hiatus. In special circumstances, the hiatus and maximum number of terms may be waived upon mutual agreement between the dean and the member. A member holding a leadership position on the council may be eligible for an extension of his or her term on a year-to-year basis in order to fulfill leadership responsibilities or at the request of the dean.

Member Expectations
1. Attend council meetings and other college events when possible.
2. Offer professional expertise, guidance and feedback on issues identified by the dean and
other college leadership.
3. Leverage personal and/or professional networks to promote the college and broaden its base
of support.
4. Make a financial gift annually at a level commensurate with members' means. Council members are asked to consider annual contributions at $5,000 or one of the following giving
society levels: Dean's Circle ($10,000); President's Circle ($25,000); Founder's Circle
($50,000), or Ezra Cornell Circle ($100,000).
5. Identify and nominate candidates for consideration for Advisory Council or other Cornell volunteer service, assist in the identification and cultivation of prospective
donors, and/or advocate on behalf of the college for support.
6. Serve as an advocate for the college and related professions within the university and
in external communities.
7. Assist the college in meeting its strategic goals, as appropriate.
8. Participate in committee activities where appropriate and when possible.

The Cornell Club of Fairfield Club welcomes all Cornell alumni, as well as parents and friends of Cornellians living in Fairfield County, to join us to advance Cornell's mission and goals in the world, to foster and strengthen constituents' relationships among each other, and to strengthen their affinity to Cornell through events, community outreach, and broad engagement.

We organize a wide range of events throughout the year, including sporting events, educational programs, and community service activities. All members are welcome to attend all events, and some are geared toward specific groups such as young families or recent graduates.

Los Angeles can be overwhelming, especially for newcomers. But Los Angeles is also the home to one of the largest concentrations of Cornellians outside of New York state. There are over 6,000 Cornell alumni living within the borders of Los Angeles and Riverside counties! The Cornell Club of Los Angeles is here to support these alumni, providing a wide array of events. In addition to all of our activities, CCLA is also very active in admissions, networking and scholarship fundraising. As a result, we have the highest percentage of membership of all large Cornell alumni associations. The Cornell Club of Rockland (CCROCK) is an active and fun group of Cornell alumni, friends and families in the Rockland area. Our mission is to engage alumni and students to celebrate the spirit of our great Alma Mater. Throughout the year, we hold a number of events such as educational talks, an annual holiday dinner with current students included, a Spirit of Zinck's Night, fall hikes and volunteer service events (i.e. Cornell Cares Day).
As many Cornell Club of Rockland members are also members of the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network (CAAAN) we annually provide the stage for CAAAN's Accepted Student Event, which is run by CAAAN members. CCROCK also hosts and sponsors the annual Send-Off Event to our incoming students during the summer. Additionally, we are proud to represent our Alma Mater at the Annual Rockland Community College Fair, which draws hundreds of high school juniors and seniors yearly and provides a wonderful opportunity for alums to provide information about the Cornell experience. All of these events provide an opportunity to connect past, present, and future Cornellians.
Lastly, CCROCK is fortunate to collaborate with the local Cornell Cooperative Extension to increase awareness and take part in their various educational programs that engage and build up our local community.

We are a club consisting of Cornell Alumni residing in the Greater Capital District of New York State, the counties of Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Schenectady and Saratoga. We host various educational, social and volunteer events throughout the year including group attendance at Big Red Hockey games, family apple picking at Indian Ladder farms, volunteering at the Regional Food Bank for Cornell Cares Days, an annual Zinks celebration and an annual meeting with dinner and a speaker. The Cornell Institute of Food Science (CIFS) is a multidisciplinary program that coordinates activities related to food science and food technology at Cornell University. Through its teaching, research and outreach programs, the faculty of the Institute provide education and training for students, conduct basic and applied research and offer technical information and assistance to the food industry.

Founded in 1970, the institute is a world leader in food science education and research. The program currently includes about sixty faculty and staff members from eight departments and institutes.

Mission Statement
The Cornell Institute of Food Science is an educational institute whose mission is to educate undergraduate and graduate students for careers in the food industry, academia, and government; to promote and facilitate research programs that will enhance the wholesomeness and availability of food and add value to raw agricultural products, with a particular emphasis on New York State products; and to transfer research-based information and technology to consumers and the food systems of New York State, the nation, and the world.

The Cornell Military Network (CMN) promotes Cornell University's land-grant mission by organizing military-affiliated Cornell alumni across generations in support of the educational, professional, and social advancement of service-minded Cornellians. By definition, CMN's constituency is broad and includes anyone who has served in uniform, performed civilian national defense work, or is interested in military affairs.

Cornell's land grant mission includes a responsibility to teach its students military tactics. Cornell was founded in the wake of the U.S. Civil War, and its students, staff, and faculty have had military experience from the beginning. Cornellians continue to serve in a variety of military roles to this day.

Membership is open to anyone who has attended Cornell for at least a day, taught at Cornell, or worked for Cornell and who supports the purposes and goals of CMN.

We aim to make a difference for the entire Cornell community by serving as catalytic agents who inspire, inform, engage and propel broad recognition of Cornell as one of the top 10 universities of the world.

History
Cornell University Council was formed in 1950 by Francis H. Scheetz, Class of 1916 after he served as vice chair of the successful 1950 Greater Cornell Campaign. Mr. Scheetz felt the campaign’s success was due to the focused work of knowledgeable and dedicated alumni, and he suggested a permanent group of such advisors. As the first council chair (1950-1953), he told new members they needed to be “catalytic agents…able to ferret out the interests of others and channel those interests to the right spots at Cornell.”

Since then, many chairs have guided the council through growth and accomplishment. They have led us from our first role in fundraising and development to serving the university in diverse fields and endeavors.

Member qualifications: To qualify for Council membership, a candidate must meet at least one of the following criteria:
-Demonstrated leadership and involvement in Cornell activities for 5 or more years
-Achievement of significant leadership role in business, profession, or vocation
-Significant contribution to the betterment of society through leadership in community, education, charitable organizations, or other humanitarian undertakings

Member expectations: Council members are expected to:
-Serve as a Cornell Ambassador
-Give to Cornell
-Nominate Cornell volunteers
-Attend Trustee-Council Annual Meeting
-Share knowledge via CUeLINKS
-Vote in the Alumni Trustee Election

-Terms are four years
-Each four-year term is followed by a mandatory two-year hiatus. Members will automatically be considered for another four-year term based on their meeting member expectations.

Over 80 years ago, students at Cornell Law School established an unrestricted club under the ancient Roman name "Curia" in order to effectuate Myron Taylor's belief that law should serve a wide range of social needs. Curia continued at the Law School until the turmoil of World War II forced the organization to disband, never to return to the student body. However, Curia had a second life. The Curia Society continued as an amorphous, informal alumni group in the New York metropolitan area; its principal function was to hold an annual dinner at which the camaraderie and memories of law school could be renewed. The custom of holding annual dinners under the name Curia has continued unbroken to this day. At the annual Curia Society Dinner, the camaraderie and memories of Law School are renewed, and a distinguished speaker addresses the audience on a topic of current interest. The list of those who have appeared as guests of Curia is long and illustrious. It includes most of the Law School's Deans, many of its faculty and other noteworthy individuals. In addition to the annual dinner, Curia Society members have provided leadership and guidance to the Law School as officers of the Cornell Law Alumni Association, as members of the Law School Advisory Council, and as generous benefactors. Participation in the Curia Society is open to all alumni of Cornell Law School, and we encourage you to join us and assist in the planning of future Curia Society Dinners.

PCCW advances Cornell alumnae and non-binary alumni through leadership and professional growth through multigenerational and global engagement in support of the University's founding commitment to "any person, any study" and as the first among our peers to admit women as matriculated students.

We achieve this mission by:
Strengthening alumni engagement with Cornell University and fostering alumni, faculty, staff and student leaders;

Aimed at honoring ten notable alumni who are within ten years of graduation, 10 Under 10 notable alumni will be selected annually and recipients will be featured individually in profiles throughout the academic year.

Alumni honorees will be selected based on their demonstrated excellence in one of the following three pillars: professional success, level of involvement in their community, and level of engagement with the Cornell community.

This initiative was created and is supported by the three recent alumni councils at the College of Business: the Dean's Council of Young Alumni (Nolan), the Dyson Recent Alumni Council, and the Johnson Recent Alumni Council.

The Simpkins Family COMPASS Program connects early undergrads with alumni mentors who provide an experienced engineer's perspective on the teamwork, leadership, and professional skills students should develop. Mentorships are structured through a 2-credit course that teaches critical thinking and decision-making tools that help students determine which opportunities to seek and which to forego as they design their undergraduate experience based on their goals, values, and interests.

The CUeLINKS platform facilitates the COMPASS mentor-mentee matching process. Only Cornell alumni with engineering or technical degrees can be mentors. In order for students to be matched with a mentor, they must be enrolled in ENGRG 1152 Coaching and Mentoring for Professional and Student Success.

Alumni are invited to join the COMPASS mentor pool by creating a CUeLINKS profile and completing the required matching questionnaire.
